Registration for B.E./B.Tech. (4 years) and Master of Engineering and Technology (Integrated 5 years) admissions to government, government-aided, university-managed and private institutes in Maharashtra for 2026-27 is now open. Candidates must choose between E-Scrutiny (online document verification) or Physical Scrutiny (in-person verification at a Facilitation Centre) during registration. Those who registered for MHT-CET 2026 pay no fee; others with valid JEE (Main) or NEET (UG) scores must pay the application fee online by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI only.

How to Apply
- Visit the official portal and register online
- Fill the online application form with personal and academic details
- Upload required documents (scan originals as per specifications)
- Choose document verification mode: E-Scrutiny (online) or Physical Scrutiny (in-person at Facilitation Centre)
- For E-Scrutiny: documents verified online by designated centre; no personal visit required
- For Physical Scrutiny: visit selected Facilitation Centre with original documents during allotted time slot
- Resolve any discrepancies flagged during verification within the given timeline
- Confirm application after verification to appear in merit list
Important Instructions
- Resolve discrepancies during document verification within the given timeline; failure to confirm will result in rejection and exclusion from merit lists
- SC, VJ/DT NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC candidates must produce Caste Validity Certificate; ST candidates must produce Tribe Validity Certificate
- All backward class candidates (excluding SC & ST) must produce Non Creamy Layer certificate valid up to 31 March 2027
- EWS candidates must produce Eligibility Certificate as per Maharashtra State Government Resolution dated 31 May 2021
- Candidates registered as reserved category but unable to produce required certificate during verification must pay fee difference of 300 rupees online
- Candidates with receipt for Caste/Tribe/Non Creamy Layer/EWS certificates during CAP registration must upload and verify originals at Scrutiny Centre and submit to admitted institute by final reporting date of fourth CAP round; failure results in automatic cancellation
- J&K and Ladakh Migrant candidates after confirmation must approach Director, Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE), Versova Road, Munshi Nagar, Andheri (West), Mumbai 400058 directly for admission
- Candidates applying for Institutional Quota or vacant seats after CAP must register, get documents verified and obtain confirmation from Scrutiny Centre/E-Scrutiny
- NRI, OCI, PIO, CIWGC, Foreign National quota candidates refer to portal https://fn.mahacet.org/; OCI candidates subject to Supreme Court order WP(C) No. 891/2021
- Orphan Reservation applies per Government Resolutions issued by Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra
- Defence Reservation applies per Government of Maharashtra rules and Ministry of Defence Letter No. F.No.6(1)/201/D (Res.II) dated 21 May 2018
- Schedule is provisional and may change; revised schedule will be notified on website
- Document verification remains open all days including Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM
