Applications for Young Professional positions at the Directorate General of Foreign Trade are open until 30 July 2026. The DGFT seeks candidates in Economics, Legal, General Management, and Data Science disciplines to work across its various divisions. | Data Science | B Tech/B.E. in any discipline, MCA, or Masters in Data Science or Data Analytics or Computational Mathematics |
| Experience | Minimum one year post-qualification experience in relevant field with proficiency in Computer skills |
| Desirable (General Management) | Experience in multimedia content creation, graphic design and proficiency in relevant multimedia tools/software |
Pay & Service Terms
| Consolidated Monthly Fee | Rs. 70,000 (minus Professional Tax/TDS as applicable) |

| Initial Engagement Period | One year, extendable up to three years maximum |
| Working Hours | 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM on working days with half-hour lunch break; may be required to work beyond hours and on weekends/holidays |
| Leave | 1.5 days per completed month; unavailed leave cannot be carried forward; up to one month unpaid leave with prior approval |
| Maternity Leave | Women Young Professionals eligible as per Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017 |
| Travel | May be required to travel anywhere in India; TA/DA admissible at ASO rates |
| Termination | Can be terminated by either party with 30 days' notice or pay in lieu; no notice required if services unsatisfactory or conduct breached |
| No Future Claim | Engagement does not confer any right for subsequent employment with DGFT or other Government Department |
Pre-Engagement Requirements
